retrograde.

RE-truh-greyd \  , adjective;
1. Having a backward motion or direction; retiring or retreating.
2. Inverse or reversed, as order.
3. Exhibiting degeneration or deterioration.
“…to experience the bittersweet
to taste defeat
then brush my teeth

cause I struggle with forward motion
I struggle with forward motion
we all struggle with forward motion
cause forward motion is harder than it sounds
well everytime I gain some ground
I gotta turn myself around again
it’s harder than it sounds
well everytime I gain some ground
I gotta turn myself around again.”

Relient K.
This is one of my favorite Relient K songs because it always made me feel OK.  I am not alone in my retrograde ways.  I think their advice is sound.  So you’ve experienced it, now brush your teeth and start anew.  Swish some Listerine and try for forward motion the next day.
