de rigueur.

 \ duh ri-GUR \ , adjective;
1. Strictly required, as by etiquette, usage, or fashion.
The pronunciation and the meaning of de rigueur are intimidating to me.  I have not attended an event because I didn’t have the proper de rigueur outfit.   Black Tie Events are much more complicated for women.  Men throw on their ties, and we are stuck planning, changing, altering, and tripping.
Oh you are complex, you de rigueur.
