adamantine.

\ ad-uh-MAN-teen \ , adjective;
1. Utterly unyielding or firm in attitude or opinion.
2. Too hard to cut, break, of pierce.
3. Like a diamond in luster.

Explain my absence?  I can.  I’ve been adamantine about finishing a blog entry on the word “excogitate.”  I’ve been adamantine about it being about LFO’s “Summer Girls” and dissecting it, proving it’s not just semi-rhyming gibberish.  But after this section…
Let you off the hook like my man Mr. Limpet
Think about that summer and I bug, cause I miss it
Like the color purple, macaroni and cheese,
Ruby red slippers and a bunch of trees

…I’m almost ready to say, “it is gibberish” and move on. But then I wouldn’t be adamantine and I’d be ruining another word of the day.  I will stay firm.  Summer Girls excogitation to come.
