word-hoard.

\WURD-hawrd\ , noun:

A person’s vocabulary.
We might all not hoard words, but we all have word-hoards, our vocabularies.  Sometimes I tend to hoard unique words for the blog only and I do not use them as my general word-hoard.  The right unique word can strengthen an argument by weakening a “low blow” by using a kinder, more complex word for “idiot.”
When I mentioned the word of the day at work, a coworker said, “Did you say ‘word whore’?”  I wonder what a word whore might be like.
