truant.

We create our event calendars for work about a year in advance.  So from time to time, things will show up on the calendar that just don’t fit in with other events that have come up.  Technically, I am putting on an Easter Egg Hunt for alumni with young children on March 29th.  But when the VP asked me in a staff meeting, “is the Easter Egg Hunt on?” I said, “Neh.  Quite frankly, I’m tired.”
I laughed but he did not.  Oops.  I actually have good reasons why we should not have one at this time, but instead, I told my boss “I’m a lazy truant.  Fire me if you wish.”
