c’est la vie, Shakespeare.

I was joking with friends over too many cups of coffee about how it never works when I’m “set up” with someone. It’s complicated, because I’ll end up falling for that person’s friend or their godfather instead of the person “intended” for me and then it’s a real mess. If everything had been left alone, I might’ve met the friend or godfather on my own. And then I would have come to the conclusion that the godfather is too old for me and the friend is not quite…hm…not quite something, and that’s why the guy originally intended for me was presented to me in the first place. But I believe it was Shakespeare who said, “We clicketh we those with which we clicketh and c’est la vie.”
