inchoate.

\ in-KOH-it \  , adjective;
1.In an initial or early stage; just begun.
2.Imperfectly formed or formulated.
My job is still in its inchoate stage.  Not just my experience in the job, but the job position itself.  I’m the marketing director for the Dining Hall.  Keep in mind the inchoate stage…but my thinking thus far is that my marketing angle is opposite of normal business’ marketing angle.  The students purchase their meal plans at the beginning of the semester.  Most underclassmen buy 19 meals per week.  When I plan crazy fun activities for them to come do in the caf, they aren’t really paying more to come.  They are using what they already paid for.  Then they stay longer because my activity is crazy fun, and they eat appetizers, main courses, desserts, and then start over with appetizers.  When I plan themed dinners and market it around school, we lose money on the food.
My job should be to encourage the students to keep their 19 meals, but only eat 10 by making the caf extremely dull.  Interesting.  Hope these inchoate days change to latter days soon.
